It's been a busy few months to say the least with Original Makers Club! From scheduling and wrapping up member photo shoots to signing on last minute local businesses, I could drive my route from Lou to Lex with my eyes closed. Check out a few behind the scene photos from these photo shoots!

Just Catching Up...

My life since February.....

It's been a while since my last blog post and quite a lot has happened since February! From my trip to LA and the CATS winning the National Championship to Derby week and bridal showers! I will start with my fabulous and first trip out to CALIFORNIA!

I arrived on a Thursday and miss Marissa had my whole weekend planned! I was sent my weekend itinerary and this was just my Thursday...

Lunch with Ali at Paramount was my first celeb sighting: Ed Sanders, the carpenter from Extreme Makeover Home Edition! Needless to say I had to point him out the Marissa and Ali... 

Happy Hour at Shutters was magnificent! We were right on the beach and watched the beautiful California sunset. 

                   

I woke up bright and early Friday thanks to the time change and we headed to Soul Cycle! Although I normally hate spinning, I knew my chances for celeb sightings were high since Marissa has been on a bike next to Kelly Ripa, Lady Gaga, and JCrew's CEO before! 

After our morning exercise we met up with our Nantucket BFF Stephen at the lovely Lemonade! Then Marissa took me to the Rodeo Drive shops! 

Friday night consisted of amazing sushi with the girls + Stephen before I lost my iPhone... But the night got better when we ran into our other Nantucket friend Zack! #NantucketReunion

We were up early Saturday and made the quick drive to Santa Monica! After a quick lunch at The Lobster on the pier we rented bikes to ride to Venice beach! In case you didn't know, it was Oscar week and there was some pre-Oscar event right off Venice beach! I got a close up of Benjamin Bratt! 

We stopped at Gjelina in Venice for a blood orange mimosa with Stephen before going back to Marissa's. Good thing we did because I spotted Simon Baker from The Mentalist! 

My first visit to LALA Land was a major success and I cannot wait to return again! 

New York Fashion Week 2012

Last week, Claire and I had the opportunity to go to Fashion Week in New York City! But it wasn't official until this guy was in my inbox! It was definitely one of those experiences that we will remember forever. 

But going to New York also meant I could see my best friends from home! First on my agenda, spending the weekend with Anne, Meagan, and Kate, all great friends from high school! Luckily for us Kentucky fans, New York's Jack Dempsey's is known as the "UK Bar," and our destination for last Saturday's game!

On to Fashion Week! Our first show was Badgley Mischka on Tuesday morning! This is Claire and me outside Lincoln Center and then inside waiting for the show to start in our seats. Badgley Mischka's 43 looks were covered with metallics and beading details. The "high-voltage" hair on each model only enhanced the drama of the show.

Fashion Week was a definite success from the celeb sightings (Kelly Osbourne, Erin Andrews, Kristin Chenoweth, Ken Downing, and Joan Rivers!) to taking notes to bring back to Louisville. Papillon Collective is looking forward to putting on our next show: the Westport Village Fashion show on March 22nd! 

Original Makers Club Volare Shoot & NFocus Launch Party at Volare

As 2012 started off with a bang, the PC crew had our schedules full, especially at Volare! Check out these photos by Josh Meredith for Volare's spread in the Original Makers Club Louisville Edition 2 book. Taste testing was inevitable and Chef Josh's creations were all amazing! 

Homemade pappardelle pasta tossed with mushrooms, bacon, and a demiglace cream sauce and the cashew encrusted salmon served over sautéed asparagus, spinach, and caramelized onions finished with a pomegranate cream!

NFocus Magazine has a launch party with each new issue's unveiling. Volare hosted the February Issue Launch Party which meant enjoying hors d'oeuvres and happy hour drink specials while catching up with friends, networking and delving into the latest issue!
